Eat food sauce free
Shop bought ketchup and sauces are high in sugar, salt and processed oil and contain little, if any nutrition. Instead, use liquid aminos/ seasoning like Mara - a Scottish seasoning including naturally found trace nutrients that support your hormonal balance and overall health. Inside my monthly online membership programme, myBestme, I show you how to incorporate such ingredients to add flavour to delicious healthy recipes.
Eat your calories instead of drinking them.
Do you enjoy eating? Seriously, if you do, why waste calories on lattes or cappuccinos? Save them for food! A caramel machiatto can contain around 250 calories so swap for black coffee or espresso instead and enjoy EATING your calories. Herbal teas help you hydrate without caffeine and some even support your immunity and mood. I really like this one from Neal’s Yard- Quiet Time Tea. It's light and deliciously balanced- it makes for a perfect mindful moment.

Drink adequate water.
In my 121 coaching programmes, I show clients how to naturally balance hormones, uplift their mood and improve mental focus as well as how to lose weight sustainably. Adequate hydration is pivotal to success in all these areas but many clients tell me how boring water tastes for them.
I agree! So I show them do-able ways to get their daily water in so it becomes their 'new normal' instead of just another thing to add to the 'should' list.
Swap white bread for wholemeal sourdough.
I love this delicious range from Marks & Spencers. Sourdough doesn't spike blood sugar as much as white bread, can be easier to digest and tastes absolutely delicious! Give it a try especially if you can't be without your lunch time sandwich!
